£70 for the block of 4 90 mins hands-on science sessions (£17.50/session)

Suit ages 4-11 approx
4 action-packed 90-minute sessions designed to spark curiosity, build skills and unleash your young scientist’s confidence!
Across the 4 sessions, children get their hands on real science kit, run proper experiments and explore the amazing systems inside our bodies and the world around us. Every session is fully guided, hands-on and fun.
Topics
Session 1 — Welcome to the Lab!
We kick off with science lab basics: using proper lab equipment, measuring, pipetting, staying safe, and discovering acids & alkalis. Expect colourful pH testing and a fab fizzing reaction when we mix them together!
Session 2 — Biology Bonanza
We dive inside the digestive system and meet Amy, our full-size gut puppet who LOVES to eat. Kids explore what happens to food on its journey and try hands-on biology experiments. We introduce enzymes using yeast and catalase, produce real oxygen gas and run simple tests to detect it!
Session 3 — Gases, Lungs & Blood!
What’s in the air around us? Why do we breathe? Children investigate gases in our atmosphere, explore how the respiratory system works, try stethoscopes & sphygmomanometers, and build models to discover how blood is made and what it does.
Session 4 — Electricity & Engineering Fun!
We finish with circuits and creativity. Kids build simple electric circuits, design and light up their own playdough sculptures, and experience hair-raising static with the Van de Graaff generator — always a favourite.

- Ruth’s science sessions have been wonderful for my children recently and they have all got so much from them. It really brings the fun of science to life for them and makes them enthusiastic about it. So much so that when my daughter had a day at school recently where they had to dress as what they would like to do when they are older she went as a scientist!!Actually we have been so impressed with the sessions that we booked Ruth for my daughters birthday party and the kids all had a ball. Each session had three really fun and engaging activities, well taught and explained. None of the activities were “duds” or time fillers and my daughter was inspired to follow up each session with further investigation. The sessions were well priced and we are sad they have come to an end
