SCIENCE SHOWS FOR SCHOOLS, GROUPS AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT & ENTERTAINMENT –

2 SHOWS TO CHOOSE FROM

Chemistry Lab Adventures

Science Show

DETAILS

Bring the intriguing world of chemistry to life with our latest interactive science assembly show. We’ve taken our favourite demo’s to create an educational and exciting presentation which includes plenty of audience participation and highlights chemistry in everyday life.

Pupils learn about states of matter through various experiments and discover that not everything can be categorised as a gas, liquid or solid. We’ll conjure up oxygen and carbon dioxide to unearth fascinating facts about natural gasses.

Students find out what a chemical reaction actually is and how to spot one. We’ll draw attention to reversible and irreversible changes through demonstrations too. Brace yourself for exothermic & endothermic reactions featuring the legendary Elephant’s Toothpaste. blowing up balloons with CO2 and our own colourful Rainbow Magic fun.

Safety is priority, so we’ll emphasise the importance of following instructions as we hold fire in our hands, demonstrating responsible scientific exploration.

AGE: KS1 & KS2

LENGTH: 30-45 mins

CURRICULUM LINKS:  Chemical reactions, reversible/irreversible changes, states of matter, acids/alkalis, pH, lab safety, atmospheric gas, scientific vocabulary, lab equipment, observations, working scientifically, science careers.

PRICE: £200 (+ travel expenses)

Force Frontiers

Science Show

DETAILS

Force Frontiers is our exciting show that is best alongside our forces workshops, e.g. air powered cars or rockets sessions. We use funny, interactive demo’s to inspire pupils in the field of physics.

We first introduce Sir Isaac Newton and waste no time in diving straight into a whirlwind of excitement with fun activities to bring Newton’s 3 laws of motion to life.

Hold on tight, this isn’t a passive experience! We’ll call upon members of the audience to be part of the action as we embark on exploring inertia to help explain a classic trick and will spark curiosity, opening eyes to the world around us.

As we unravel the power behind rockets, the young adventurers among us will eagerly join forces to explore Newton’s 2nd law by firing them with their best stomps. Next, we will unleash our giant slingshot, revealing the forces at play in Newton’s 3rd law.

That’s not all—we’ll delve into the mysteries of gravity and the forces that govern our everyday activities.

AGE: KS1 & KS2

LENGTH: 30-45 mins

CURRICULUM LINKS: Push-pull forces, friction, gravity, air & water resistance, atmosphere, famous scientists, everyday materials, scientific vocabulary, making observations, simple tests, working scientifically, science careers.

PRICE: £200 (+ travel expenses)
